Personally, I feel that Manchester is a truly British city. The gloomy weather, the red-brick buildings, and even the trams running through the city all contribute to that feeling. Despite the heavy rain, people don’t bother opening umbrellas and walk the streets, letting the rain fall on them. Perhaps this is the way to embrace and love the city.
